Sometimes your USB devices may get some errors like this "disk is write protected" it does not allows you to format your device.
STEP 1:
Go to Start menu-->run-->then type regedit-->enter
STEP 2:
then now your system regedit window will open Right-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-- >SYSTEM-->CurrrentControlSet-->Control--> and select New Key.
STEP 3:
rename the file to StorageDevicePolicies.
STEP 4:
right Click on the StorageDevicePolicies and select New DWORD and give it the name WriteProtect.
STEP 5:
Double click onWrite Protect and set its value to 0.
STEP 6:
now format your USB drive before doing any changes.

from the pen drive and keep your data safe.
